The List Component
We are excited to introduce one of the most highly anticipated features in the latest version of Sweet CRM & Forms, Release 5.1 – the List Component! This first version of the new feature allows you to create and display customized lists in Sweet CRM and Forms, regardless of the data source*. A direct integration in list format that uses Sweet Automation to fetch and display data directly in Sweet.
This means you can display and utilize information from, for example, integrated financial systems, customer databases, or external partners, creating a consolidated view of all relevant information within Sweet CRM.
This new feature gives you maximum control over how data is presented and used in Sweet, enhancing both the flexibility and efficiency of your organization – and all in a fraction of the time!
* Additional costs apply for integration with external data sources.
Key features of the List Component
Custom Lists
With the List Component, you can easily create custom lists by:
- Choosing data sources: Connect your Sweet data sources or other integrated data sources via Sweet Automation.
- Creating selections: Build simple or advanced selections in Sweet Automation, and publish the list to the API once you’re satisfied.
- Applying dilters: Set background filters and visible user filters to specify which information should be displayed and what can be filtered.
- Access control: Multiple levels of access control are available. Initial filtering can be done in Sweet Automation by the creator of the selection. Hidden background filters, such as showing only “my cases,” can also be applied for users. Additionally, visibility rules in the do-it-yourself interface can control which user functions (features) are required to view the block containing the List Component.
- Defining columns and fields: Decide exactly which data fields should be visible in the list.
- Placement: Use Sweet’s do-it-yourself interface to position the list where you want the information displayed.
This feature simplifies decision-making and provides the entire organization with a unified view of operations and key information.
Display Options
The lists can be displayed directly within the Sweet CRM and Forms platform. This allows you to easily share critical information with other users in the organization, improving team collaboration and information flow.
Limitations
Not everything is perfect from the start, even with Sweet. In the first version the list, it’s static and simply clickable. Over time we will develop more features within the List Component.
A transformative feature: All information in one place
One of the most transformative features in the new List Component is the ability to display information from any integrated data source – directly within Sweet. This means you no longer need to switch between different systems to gather and analyze data. With the List Component, users who have integrated other systems or data sources can visualize all relevant information in one unified location.
Whether it’s customer information, case management, Excel files, or marketing data, you can create a cohesive view for the business, providing a complete overview. This not only streamlines workflows but also improves team collaboration and enhances the quality of decision-making.
With this feature, you gain:
- A complete view of each customer without needing to switch between systems.
- Consolidated data from various departments and external sources for deeper insights.
- Customization of how information is displayed, tailored to meet your specific business needs.
- The ability to replace Sweet’s standard lists with your own customized versions.
Benefits of the List Component
Benefits of the List Component
The new feature in Sweet CRM offers several advantages to help you and your team work more efficiently:
- Easy configuration: The new List Component is not limited to Sweet CRM, Automation, or Forms as data sources. Without the need to develop new interfaces or database tables, you can easily display information from other integrated systems and sources.
- Time savings: Creating customized lists is now simple and significantly faster compared to developing specialized lists through coding.
- Improved collaboration: By displaying the component directly within the platform, lists can be quickly shared across the organization, enhancing both communication and efficiency.
- Tailored lists: The List Component allows you to define which data fields are most important, giving you full control over what information is displayed or hidden.
- Consolidated information: By integrating all data sources, you can now view and manage all your information in a single system.
Here’s what you can use it for
Below are a few examples of how you can apply the List Component, but of course, it’s not limited to just these examples!
1. Display All Leads from a Third-Party Channel*
With the List Component, you can easily create a list showing all leads coming from third-party channels, such as forms or external lead generation systems. By displaying these data sources directly in Sweet CRM, you can quickly gain an overview of all new potential customers, filter them by relevant criteria (e.g., date or channel), and share the list with your sales teams. This streamlines follow-ups and increases opportunities to act quickly on new business leads.
For this example, your lead sources need to be integrated via Sweet Automation, and selection lists published to the API.
2. Display Account Information and Transactions on the Customer Card*
The List Component also allows you to integrate and display depot, transaction, or holdings information directly on the customer card. By connecting your back-office, banking system, or another data source to Sweet CRM, you can create real-time views where employees get immediate access to depot overviews, transaction histories, and other financial data—without storing the data in Sweet CRM.
For this example, the data source for account information and transactions needs to be integrated via Sweet Automation, and selection lists published to the API.
3. Display the Customer’s Latest Invoices on the Customer Card*
Use the List Component to connect your billing system to Sweet CRM and create a list displaying the customer’s latest invoices directly on the customer card. This gives account managers an immediate overview of payment statuses, invoice amounts, and due dates, facilitating customer interactions and invoice follow-ups. All relevant information is collected in one place, eliminating the need to switch between systems.
For this example, the data source for invoices needs to be integrated via Sweet Automation, and selection lists published to the API.
4. Fetch and Display Customer Address Details from the Master System*
With the List Component, you can easily integrate your company’s master system for customer data with Sweet CRM, allowing you to display the most recent and accurate customer address details directly in the CRM.
This ensures that all information is up-to-date and correct during every customer interaction, helping to avoid errors caused by manual handling or outdated information.
For this example, the data source for address details needs to be integrated via Sweet Automation, and selection lists published to the API.
These examples demonstrate how powerful and flexible the List Component can be for creating tailored solutions that benefit every part of your organization. Let your creativity flow!
